We have all heard of the age-old adage, "Health is Wealth." From the Traditional Chinese Feng Shui angle, "Wealth is Health." In fact, both statements are intricately related.

Good for Wealth. |
Feng Shui has been practiced in China for at least five thousand years. The knowledge was passed down through generations of Feng Shui Masters. Originally, the Feng Shui Masters were retained exclusively for the Emperors, the rich and ruling classes. During the Tang Dynasty, Master Yang and his disciples made the knowledge public. Therefore, for the past 1,300 years, until today, the “common people” have also enjoyed the benefits of good Feng Shui.
Feng Shui is all about the balance of Yin and Yang, and Wu Xing – the different phases of the Five Elements (i.e. Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal) – all of which originated from the teachings of the Yijing (I Ching). The study of Feng (Wind) Shui (Water) is to examine our environment (i.e. our living and working spaces, both interior and exterior) so we enable ourselves to tap into various types of Qi (Chi) to improve our Earth Luck. This process is done in accordance with our own personal Qi. When there is an interaction between good Yin and Yang Qi, it forms Sheng (Life) Qi, which brings us all the good things in life, especially Health (good descendants and relationships) and Wealth (money, fame and fortune).
With all the recent world events of wars, human suffering, and diseases, we are becoming more conscious of the importance of our surroundings. We are also entering an age of self-improvement, self-awareness, spirituality and cocooning. By using correct Feng Shui and Design principles we are able to maximize our Auspicious and Sheng (Life) Qi, and minimize the Inauspicious and Sha (Killing) Qi.
By using the Luopan (Feng Shui Compass), we can study the different Qi patterns in our environment. Such patterns come from different directions towards us (i.e. through doorways, window openings and pathways). When we use the correct Spaces and Forms for working, eating, reading, studying and sleeping, we can create Balance and Harmony all around us—we then achieve ultimate great Health, Wealth and Happiness.
